Disability Prevention at Work
An interactive and analytical course, Prevention Link has developed a holistic and intuitive course meant to prepare participants for WSIB and WSIAT hearings. Using case file examples and mock hearings, this intensive course will provide participants with the practical skills to prepare and present oral hearings before the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and the Workplace Safety and Insurance and Appeals Tribunal.
Participants will review a file, gather additional evidence, research law, policy, and precedent, and prepare witnesses. They will also prepare witnesses for questioning, cross-questioning, and re-directing at a hearing.
Prerequisites required for this course: Level 1 & Level 2
This course will take place May 4-9, 2025 at Bayview Wildwood Resort.
Sunday Class Time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
Registration Deadline: April 14, 2025. Register before March 14 for $50 off!
Cost: $2,195.00. Cost is based on single-occupancy room and meal plan.
PREVENTION LINK BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY:
Course numbers are limited to ensure a quality learning experience for all participants. Places are allocated in order of receipt of registration form. Written cancellation received 10 working days prior to the first day of training are subject to a 25% administration charge. Cancellations received thereafter are refunded at 50% of the registration fee.
Prevention Link may cancel any training session at any time and a full refund will be issued. Every effort will be made to ensure that registrants of a cancelled course are placed in the next available course. Prevention Link is not responsible for wages, non-refundable travel, meal or accommodation costs. Should a participant be unable to attend the next available course, an alternate participant is welcomed at no additional charge.
