Disability Prevention at Work
This week-long workshop covers Workplace Insurance Level I Rights and Obligations and Level II Benefits and Services. Participants explore compensation law, jurisprudence, WSIB policies and technical information. As well, participants will examine Ontario's disability dilemma and strategies for prevention. Seating is limited so book early to secure a spot.
In this week-long course participants will examine medical testing and interpret medical information found in claim files. They will learn medical terminology and human anatomy with attention to the different organ systems, specific injuries involving the back, bone, MSI and disorders such as chronic pain and fibromyalgia. Mental stress will be examined along with WSIB policies relating to traumatic stress, psychotraumatic disability and behavioural disorders. […]
This 1 day seminar will examine the rules and use of electronic evidence to advance a worker's compensation claim and pitfalls in using this type of evidence.
